Delays in Kansas County Criminal History Searches

Written by Verified Credentials | Feb 13, 2024 5:00:00 AM

Due to a security incident in October 2023, the Kansas judicial branch has temporarily shut down its electronic information systems. Public record backlogs due to a cyber attack resulted in criminal history searches being unavailable in multiple counties in Kansas, putting some services on hold. The state government is working hard to resolve the issue in order to return to normal operations.

Verified Credentials is processing criminal history checks in Kansas as soon as the courts return online. Some courts have resumed service over the past few weeks, but several jurisdictions are still delayed.
